MECHANICAL ENGINEER MANAGER ENTERTAINMENT AUDIO
Summary
Mechanical Engineering Development Team in Korea is responsible for the customer specific mechanical design and packaging of our automotive audio systems. The manager is a hands-on technical lead as well as personnel manager for a group of project managers, CAD & customer engineers. The team works closely with the local customers as well as globally located design engineers and project managers.
Major responsibilities/tasks
• Responsible for team’s design quality and product performance to specifications.
• Personnel management and career development of local engineering team
• Ensure team uses structured problem-solving methods, train team to become 8D leaders.
Key Competencies and Skills
• Automotive component packaging experience with Korean OEM, preferably Hyundai/Kia
• Expert in design & development of automotive mechanical parts - 3D Modeling, FEA, DFMEA
• Expert in design for manufacturing best practices
Education and Experience Requirements
• A BS in mechanical (or similar) engineering is required
• Candidates should have at least 10 years of automotive design experience
• Candidate should have at least 3 years managing group of 4 or more engineers
