Description:

LOD is seeking a TRICARE Network Access Clerk to support and assist the 51st Medical Group (MDG) at the Referral Management Center at Osan Air Base, South Korea.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Identify patient’s Tricare eligibility, review referrals, assist with determinations for specialty care and process referrals to the appropriate clinics.

·         Ensure inbound/outbound referrals are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

·         Schedule referral appointments and coordinate with clinics on special patient instructions and required tests.

·         Verify patient registration and update with current, accurate contact information.

·         Provide patients with information related to the referral appointment, including education on the referral process and pre-appointment instructions.

·         Coordinate communication among all involved providers, nurses or staff regarding management of all referrals.

·         Follow-up with MTF providers who did not complete referral results within required timelines.

·         Scan/upload medical records from host nation medical facilities outside of Korea. Make a Tele-consult to referring providers or PCM to notify medical record review after uploading medical records.

·         Track initial specialty care. Obtain reports and ensure follow-up results are sent to the referring provider or PCM.

·         Follow up with patients who have not scheduled their initial specialty care appointment.

·         Maintain positive and professional communication with members of the MTF, and possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity to relate constructively to patients from diverse backgrounds.

 

Qualifications:

·         Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.

·         Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years providing service in Referral Management, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Administration and in medical customer service/liaising with providers, with patients at Medical Treatment Facility or equivalent treatment facility which is in US medical system.

·         Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

·         Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

o   A score of 750 on TOEIC obtained in the last three (3) years, or a score of 110 on TOEIC Speaking Test

o   A native English speaker (US citizen) residing in Korea are not required to provide TOEIC scores
