Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy on mobile app business.
  • Ability to speak and write in Korean and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, Marketing, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability with negotiation and strategic relationship building.
  • Ability to grow in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment.
  • Passion for mobile apps, mobile business and mobile technology.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for Google Play Apps, Korea, you will use your excellent business acumen and extensive industry knowledge to own, drive, and build a pipeline of amazing apps for Android in Korea. You will also help partners manage business growth creation and growth on Google Play, and expand new business opportunities on Android. Your role will not only be limited to partnership management, you will also be responsible for the healthy growth of Korea mobile ecosystem. Areas such as creating social impact, promoting mindful use of mobile, and improving quality of mobile experience can be the examples which you will drive within the team.

As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships.   • Build understanding of partners' business strategy beyond mobile, and find opportunities in broader Google perspective; navigate industry and ecosystem environments being a spokesperson for Google and identify innovation and commercial business development opportunities.
  • Define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans that can positively influence and transform the ecosystem.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and a broad spectrum of other functions (product, engineering, marketing, etc.), to garner resources on strategy execution.
  • Identify priorities for Android products, provide actionable insights to shape product, and manage product launches in Korea.
  • Develop strategic relationships with app developers in Korea, and provide extensive consultation on key partner's app business based on analysis on partner metrics by working with internal experts.
