Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in the Korea market, including executive-level business development and partnership management.
  • Experience in setting and executing a strategy to continue to build the partner ecosystem.

On the Android team, you will be responsible for driving the success of the Android Platform and Ecosystem in Korea by aligning and driving performance across internal and external partners.

As a Director, you will manage key priority telco partners in Korea and represent the One Google face to partners’ executives. As an executive leader within the Global Partnership team, you will build, manage, and motivate a diverse business development team to execute against ambitious consumer goals. You will use an analytical approach to identify and execute against opportunities, and you will be highly effective at working cross-functionally.

  • Advise relevant product teams (e.g., Android, Play, Search, etc.) on local requirements to ensure platform and product relevance and support growth strategies.
  • Own the performance of Android in Korea across all key metrics, including; distribution, market share acquisition and retention, and Android wide platform business generation.
  • Drive cohesive market strategy for Android and other Product Areas (e.g., Google Cloud, Hardware, Google Pay), aligning and ensuring delivery across Google teams and partners; lead planning efforts to align funding with strategy.
  • Serve as a local escalation point for partners in Korea, Mountain View-based Android leadership, and other Google leaders. Represent Android in executive-level external discussions with carriers, original equipment manufacturers, policy makers, industry groups, and other external entities in Korea.
  • Lead planning and resourcing efforts to align funding with strategy and overall Android priorities in the market.
