Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related/technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 12 years of experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Strategy, Consulting, or Sales
  • Experience influencing across functions and levels in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to speak and write in Korean and English fluently

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze strategic/complex issues, formulate a path for advancement, and operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving, and collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of the internet and platform, apps and gaming, automotive, telecom, or media and entertainment industries
  • Understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within Korea
  • Familiarity with public policy, industry associations, and partnership ecosystems in Korea
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to inspire trust and influence outcomes

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

Partnerships Solutions is comprised of both industry (e.g., Media and Entertainment, Telecom, Gaming/Social, Commerce, Travel, Finance, Auto, etc.) and country partnerships experts that collaborate with multiple global Business, Partnership, and Product teams to provide streamlined support to partners, incubate transformative/innovative ideas that drive value, accelerate agreements and drive strategic initiatives, engage with ecosystems to understand needs to solve industry challenges, and enable teams via cross-functional best practice sharing.

In this role, you will focus on a set of partners within varying industries, creating value by identifying and unlocking opportunities across multiple teams and functions. You will work with executive sponsors that oversee the cross-Google relationship.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of partner cross-Google activities and opportunities. Create and execute cross-Google joint business plans in support of executive sponsor relationships, including coordination with partners.
  • Build a network and engage with industry associations and partners to increase awareness of our product, policy, and commitment to the overall ecosystem.
  • Collaborate and influence internally to develop and execute initiatives in partnership with industry associations to support the ecosystem.
  • Drive internal visibility and support of executive decision-making through operational excellence (e.g., executive summits, briefings, reporting, communications, etc.).
  • Facilitate alignment and communication between relevant Sales, Business Development, Communications, and cross-functional teams. Inform industry narratives, aggregating and delivering partner insights and feedback to industry-specialized Partnerships Solutions teams.
