Job Opportunity Description:

DuPont Emerging Technologies (ET) R&D group in Electronics & Industrial is hiring a Senior scientist at the Korea Technology Center (KTC) located in Hwaseong. ET R&D works closely with other businesses to develop innovative solutions for strategically valuable technologies in high-growth markets. ET-KTC team has been playing critical roles to support Korea-based customers, and will be expanding to engage with new customers in Asia Pacific for semiconductor, display, and next-coming innovative technologies.

Applicant will perform a collaborative research with global ET/business R&D teams to develop new products to consistently increase business impact and strengthened capability. The candidate who is interested in learning new technologies, excited by a collaborative, dynamic, and global work will be preferred to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead new materials design, synthesis, and analysis in ET-KTC team collaborating with ET-US team
• Perform various types of technical work besides synthesis will be also required: Formulation and thin film application testing such as coating, Litho patterning, and characterization.
• Design and execute experiments for new materials/products development to achieve customer CTQs in customer-driven timeline  
• Develop creative, innovative technical hypotheses for trouble-shooting
• Collaborate with global ET/business R&D, marketing, and sales teams to support multiple customer projects

Preferred qualifications:

• Good understanding in material science with organic/polymer chemistry background
• Experience in organic/polymer synthesis, optimizing properties, and analysis/characterization
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player
• Open, innovative, and collaborative mind-set
• Good interpersonal/communication skills to collaborate with cross-business/function global teams
• English proficiency in speaking/writing

Preferred qualifications:

• Ph.D. in organic/polymer chemistry
• Experience in thin film testing and characterization
• Experience to collaborate with global research team
• Proactive to learn new technologies and test methods for various applications
• Ability to support multiple projects
