Description
The Electrical Infrastructure business within DuPont is well positioned to support global growth in electrical infrastructure due to developing regions, as well as transportation development, and wind energy growth around the world.
This position is within Nomex¢ç Paper Technical team, which supports the Electrical Infrastructure business segment in Asia Pacific with an emphasis on motors and generators. It holds the following responsibilities to serve the growing needs in Asia Pacific and beyond.
- Developing insulation solutions using Nomex¢ç and other insulation materials used in the industry, providing technical service to the customers in Asia Pacific.
- Collecting the market needs of insulation materials and products in Asia Pacific and developing new growth opportunity proposals.
- Developing test programs based on customer needs, along with analyzing and interpreting the resulting data for internal and customer communication.
- Providing the Voice of Customer from OEMs and End Users into the development of new products/solutions by working with the global product development team.
- Working with Sales and Marketing teams to develop business cases and execution plans.
- Participation in global and regional industry standards organizations.
- Development of publications and papers that communicate research findings to the industry.
Qualifications
- BS or above in Electrical Engineering and relevant majors.
- At least 3 years hands on experience in electrical motor/generator design, manufacturing, and insulation system testing. Exposure to high voltage systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical rotating machine design, testing, manufacture and operation, insulation materials and systems, insulation material fabrication along with material evaluation methods.
- Experience with designed experimentation and statistics such as Six-Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in regional or global rotating machinery standards development is a plus.
- Exposure to project management tools is a plus.
- Established relationships across the industry value chain.
- Demonstrated strong technical capability, particularly in problem solving/analytical ability.
- Demonstrated capability of working with cross-functional teams for developing and commercializing new products and applications.
- Ability to take initiatives - Identify problem and suggest solutions, proactively think with the team on product development and customer issues.
- Good learning agility and self-driven.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with others who have diverse skills, education, and backgrounds.
- Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint basic usage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused global environment.
Flexible with business travels (25-50%).
