Job Scope:

This position is responsible to assist Financial Controller in overseeing part of accounting functions for the attraction.
Main duties include providing Payable process, reconciliations, HFM Submission, and perform any ad-hoc assignments.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Oversees a set of accounting operations including account payable, general journals, inter-company reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end closing and etc.
  • Liaison with local tax agents for local tax compliance.
  • Liaison with local auditors on statutory accounting requirement.
  • Prepare various reports for HQ
  • Provide support on all aspects of the Finance Department when necessary
  • Any other reasonable duties or activities which may be required as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all resources are used efficiently in order to minimize costs
  • Ensure Merlin¡¯s finance policies are adhered to
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety and Security within the workplace and in line with the group policy (HS001).
  • Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any new risks to appropriate line manager.
  • Ensure compliance of safe working procedures in place for work activities within position.
  • Maintain confidential information.

Skill, Experience & qualifications:
  • 7 years or more experience in Finance and Accounting area
  • Advantage of Experience in Retail or attraction business
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels, including non-financial decision makers and Senior Management.
  • Ability to manage time lines and due dates
  • Four year degree or equivalent above.
  • Preferred major in Management, Accounting or Finance
  • Must have certain level of English skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be willing to take new roles and responsibilities after completion of the project

Health & Safety:
