JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible to manage and direct all legal activities in Korea, ensuring the company business practices, policies and dealings confirm with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide practical, timely and effective legal support to Prada Korea and work as a valued and trusted business partner, giving effective advice that helps to achieve business goals while anticipating and managing legal risks.
Collaborating with Prada HQs and external counsels to provide legal analysis and advice to Prada Korea business on various day-to-day operation, commercial initiatives, business expansion, marketing campaigns
Being a primary contact point for any other legal matters and further spot the issues and engage relevant stakeholders from local and global to enable business growth and goals
Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements, terms and conditions, statement, or other legal documents of Prada Korea
Review, revise and/or draft employment contracts, staff policies, non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements and other agreements and collaborate with HR in managing employee disputes, separations and other critical people issues.
Champion the Prada Group¡¯s Code of Ethics; participate in third party due diligence; undertake business conduct investigations; implement compliance protocols.
Develop, maintain and update various bilingual template of contracts or other legal documents for daily business operation needs to continue explore opportunities of efficiency
Actively up-to date, manage and share with related parties to enhance internal legal knowledge of Prada Korea¡¯s management team and advising on updating internal policies/procedures, related templates/quick guides/documents
Monitor and provide guidance regarding applicable new and developing rules and regulations, assessing and advising on other legal risks affecting on Prada Korea business
Develop, localize and tailor training materials and conduct the trainings for internal business partners on relevant skills and areas of law
Collaborate closely with the office of the Group General Counsel, and to provide support and assist on projects, initiatives, and matters Manage legal budget and relationship with external law firms
Assist in and provide other ad-hoc support as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor degree and above in law, preferably Korea-qualified and Korea Bar qualification and/or local law expert is preferred
10-12 years relevant Korea-based experience, ideally from working in both top-tier law firms and multi-national corporations (retail industry experience is a plus)
Strong understanding in legal issues impacting retail, real property leasing, data privacy, marketing requirements, commercial contracts, international contracts, intellectual property right/trademark, corporate affairs, local employment and labor
Strong communicator and influencer, capable of interacting and leading change with business partners
Ability to work independently but also collaboratively with hands-on and positive attitude
Fluent in written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English
