Purpose of the Job
Technical solution Consultant position will drive and grow Marine business of PMC/HPS. Successful candidate will drive demand generation through network of channel Partners – Distributors, direct customer contacts (shipyards, fleet management companies and ship owners). This role is responsible for driving demand generation through customer engagement (product presentation, application discussion, understanding customer needs, evaluate various options) and position Honeywell products. Drive customer preference through early engagement. Drive Honeywell in customer Approved Vendor List (AVL). Drive demand for existing as well as new products. Closely work with Sales Account managers, Channel Partners, OEMs, End customers, regulatory agencies and consultants and deliver AOP. This role involves global Marine team interactions both across Honeywell and partners/customers
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting AOP targets on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for different product portfolios
- Driving demand generation through channel partners as well as direct early engagement
- Drive Honeywell brand in customer Approved Vendor List (AVL) by application discussion, product presentations, drive preference, work on lock-in specifications and dilute challenging specs
- Drive local regulatory approvals in each country, share the local market insights to build right product roadmap
- Own and drive the deals to closure seeking support from global & local teams
- Work with technology and product management team to drive product gaps
- Drive margin improvement by customer and competition mapping
- Work with GCC, OMT, ISC and factories to drive timely revenue
- Create product awareness and drive preference by closely working with customers, presentations, value selling.
- Coordinate internally to meet channel as well as end customer requirements
- Working with HPS larger sales team to create opportunities for Marine portfolio projects
- Learn and embrace wider Honeywell portfolio and promote packaged/bundled offering
- Work with Honeywell other businesses to drive demand as collective team effort
YOU MUST HAVE
- BS or BE Degree - Preferred in: Engineering, Automation, Technology or Business (or equivalent knowledge / experience in these fields).
- 10+ years with at least 5 years in Marine instrumentation sales/business development and/or handling large accounts.
- Proven business experience in influencing specifications, relationship building, succeeding in multi culture global environment.
- Experience planning, developing and executing sales campaigns or programs in specific markets or for specific products
- Specific experience of expanding market segments, selling more to existing and acquiring new customers strategies
- Proven technical sales skills
- Business level English capability in both written and verbal form
