Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Seoul Area, Korea or Tokyo Area, Japan (Preferably near Yokosuka, Japan)
Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week plus OT (as needed) / Mon – Fri: 09:00-17:30
Travel: As needed (domestic)
Description: Language On Demand, Inc. (LOD) is seeking a senior level Project Manager to support the company. We seek a person who can work in a team and contribute his or her unique talents to the workplace. LOD is a government contracting company focusing on language/culture training, linguistic, staffing, and ASL services to government entities as well as private sectors. Our office is located in Annandale, VA (USA).
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor projects for 10+ federal contracts, coordinating day to day activities per contract
• Control allocation and coordination of resources and the development of methods for monitoring project progress
• Perform quality control over each and every project and ensure projects are submitted on time and within budget
• Manage the development of project plans, such as creating timelines of expected turnaround times, submission dates and deadlines
• Assess project issues based on customer/staff feedback related to possible gaps, and errors; identify improvement opportunities and develop resolutions to meet quality and team goals and objectives
• Recruit contractors for project, if needed, using in-house database in addition to other available resources
• Manage and maintain key internal and external relationships with clients, vendors, and staff
• Support the company with administrative duties in order to comply with language training program requirements
• Manage the instructor pool resources, recruit qualified language instructors for classes, and maintain good relationships with staff and instructors
• Utilize knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and techniques of training combined with knowledge of language training programs in order to perform difficult and complex work assignments
• Find suitable classroom facilities and arrange logistics as needed
• Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
• Ensure the accuracy of information in reports, timesheets, payment information, and other documents.
• Manage expense within approved budget
• Coordinate and manage the class schedules and receive feedback from client for continuous improvement
• Monitor instructor performance, including annual performance reviews, and set instructor goals and objectives
• Make payments for insurances/bills/other matters
• Manage and give guideline for language instruction program by using Microsoft Teams and Projects application tools.
Qualifications
• Bachelor¡¯s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in managing contracts for governments or any private sectors
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Strong interest in working with various applications and systems; ability to learn fast, troubleshoot, resolve issues, maximize system functionality, and provide input on process automation
• Ability to work as a team, prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks/assignments
• Certified PMP is a plus
• Fluent in English; abilty to speak and read Japanese is a plus
