In order to increase profits and smooth operation of ALAM Korea, new supplier development, management of existing suppliers, and purchase work shall be carried out in accordance with the company regulations.
The work location is primarily Sejong Plant but can be flexible according to the demand.
This position can temporarily work remotely or at other locations such as the Bundang office or EPC contractor’s site depending on the demand with consideration of efficiency.
This position will report directly to the global procurement leader with dotted line to ALAM Korea SCM Manager for day to day supervision.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

New supplier development

• New supplier evaluation and selection
• New supplier registration

Management of existing supplier

• Maintain good relationship with existing vendors
• Evaluate supplier periodically
• Manage “Approved Vendor-Manufacturer List”

Procurement work

• Object of procurement work
  • Materials that must be purchased externally like raw materials, subsidiary materials, consumables and spare parts
  • The service ALAMK received like transportation cost, rental fee, warehouse charge and the other service cost
• Convert approved purchase request to purchase order, and place PO
• Manage delivery lead time and receiving delay rate
• Contribute to increasing the company's profits through negotiations with suppliers
• Revise and modify procurement procedures
• Create a contract and ask legal team to review
• Co-work with ALAM US procurement team to establish strategy and execute for the strategic purchasing material

Support EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project

• Final Bid documents preparation, vendors Bid evaluation & vendor selection with the Engineering team.
• Manage specification and delivery lead time for the procurement items in ALAM scope.
• Monitor progress rate of EPC. Verify vendor’s progress payment request.
• Manage project procurement plan documents.
• Lead weekly project-procurement review meeting.
• EPC Contractor's procurement  (RFQ > TBE/CBE > PO > Expediting > Inspection > Logistics)
• ALAM direct purchasing, various project procurement and especially 'Day 0' items as per Procurement Plan

General

• Follow all policies and procedures of the Health/Safety/Environment team
• Support for requests from other departments related to purchasing work
• Participate all training which is required for Procurement Specialist
• Attend SCM team weekly meeting

Are you a MATCH?

Skill set/ knowledge/ expertise:

• Ability to read & write email and conversation in English
• Experiences in gas and chemical industry are preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement
• Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability
• Basic knowledge of safety issues and hazards related to chemicals
• Good computer skills (e.g. Google Gmail/Doc/Spreadsheet/Presentation)
• Good verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
• ERP skills preferred (e.g. SAP)
• Experiences of project procurement for chemical plants are preferred.

Educational Requirements:

• Graduation from or above a college of expertise
