The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation, and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and EHS. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.

As the EHS Engineer, you will develop into a business partner to help support the business groups¡¯ EHS goals and the path to achieve it, while ensuring corporate EHS goals and legal requirements are being met. You will be responsible for supporting the corporate and regional EHS functions with a primary focus on our KLA and customer footprint in South Korea. This role will be a part of the APAC EHS team and interface regularly with counterparts in the other countries. The person in this role will:
- Provide day to day EHS support for our locations and customer accounts in South Korea.
- Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and training.
- Partner with and lead managers, supervisors, and team leaders in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations.
- Ensure the functionality of a KLA safety committee.
- Responsible for compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, customer EHS requirements, customer surveys, and industry group standards.
- Develop and implement the site level requirements for our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs.
- Conduct periodic audits related to the EHS management systems, compliance, and company policy/procedure conformance, with special attention to compliance to the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA).
- Complete all required environmental, safety, and other regulatory reports per local requirements.
- Be the EHS subject matter expert for the locations you support with excellent customer service.
- Analyze EHS performance metrics, self-assessments, and trends and respond in a proactive matter to prevent or minimize EHS incidents and monitor program / system status.
- Manage the site-level and customer account risk assessment process.
- Provide support to our ESG (sustainability) efforts for the sites under your span of control.
- Keep current on regulatory trends and provide updates to location management and corporate EHS as needed.
- Obtain and maintain appropriate EHS credentials required to be successful in this position. This includes but not limited to RSO certification, ISO internal auditor training, hazardous materials & hazardous waste management, among others.
- Be the key point of contact for customer EHS inquiries, incident investigations, and other reports as needed.
- Represent KLA EHS in front of our customers. Partner with customer EHS teams to identify and resolve safety issues that could impact the safety of KLA employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of EHS experience managing multiple locations
- Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient in MS Office programs
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work to commitments
- Communicate concepts in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner
- Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) preferred
- Professional EHS certifications like CHMM, CSP, or CIH (or country equivalent) are preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a large facility or multiple locations.
