Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
 
The APAC Corporate Communication team is responsible for delivering a positive company reputation via message consistency and penetration as well as relevant employee engagement activities. The role of Senior Manager, Internal Communication, is expected to spend 50% of his/her/their time on supporting and driving leadership and employee communications to inform, motivate and inspire Team Korea. The remaining time will be split across the following:
 

  • - Providing support at the APAC level
  • - Crisis communication
  • - Leading a team member

 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • - Lead communications strategy for Korea
  • - Partner with GM Korea and his senior leadership teams across assigned functions to understand the functions¡¯ strategic direction and 
  • represent their view on all strategic matters at the APAC corporate comms level
  • - Act constantly as a business partner and communication consultant to GM and Leadership Team in delivering impactful content for internal audiences
  • - Drive understanding and buy-in of assigned functions¡¯ key strategic initiatives and priorities, in particular HR and Brand teams by developing compelling top-down leadership communication and bottom-up employee storytelling
  • - Create shared understanding of adidas company strategy, particularly in relation to strategic topics across the assigned functions, in order to drive motivation and promote collaboration towards collective company goals
  • - Create new and improved communication methods for entire concepts, stories and messaging for internal key events/activations/campaigns
  • - Drive continuous improvement of entire contents/tools/concepts from idea to action and ensure that they are followed
  • - Drive execution and implementation of business strategies, in order to set communication trends, including optimal communication channel mix to maximize outreach and impact
  • - Where relevant, own, drive and manage crisis communications to protect adidas¡¯ reputation in the marketplace
  • - Ensure alignment with entire Corporate Communication team, collaborate with Digital & Content Creation team on seamless Corporate Communication plan execution and brief Korea on messaging and concepts for globally relevant topics and campaigns
  • - Significantly contribute to the achievement of the APAC corporate communication strategy
  • - Lead and provide direction to one team member in Korea, supporting this individual¡¯s development and growth within the organization
  • - 70% internal communication (Korea and APAC levels), 20% team management and 10% external communications
