The Internal Communications Manager will lead the development and management of an effective and comprehensive internal communications strategy and plan for Korea, and partner closely with HR on culture-building and people engagement initiatives. This role reports directly into the Asia Pacific Head of People Engagement and Communications, and on a matrix basis to the Korea General Manager for ODHR. Ultimately, the candidate¡¯s mission is to create impactful communications to connect all parts of the organisation and improve overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Bridge leadership and business priorities with employee voices to create meaningful, multiway and sustained dialogue across all levels of the organisation
• Develop and implement effective, measurable and sustainable people communications initiatives, working with business stakeholders on adapting these to their unique requirements. This needs to include audience identification & segmentation, key message & channels analysis, clear communications objectives, short/long term plans and measures for success.
• Conceptualise, plan and manage communications and engagement tactics including townhalls, internal forums and other connection platforms
• Independently plan and develop impactful content including speeches, scripts, written leadership messages, newsletters, stories including infographics and other multimedia
• Manage internal communication platforms including digital channels and the intranet
• Monitor closely developments in the digital/engagement platforms landscape
• Provide strategic counsel on issues and crisis management, and manage the employee communications aspects of such situations
• Drive culture-building and change campaigns from conceptualisation through implementation, effectively bridging employee sentiments with organisational goals
• Build strong networks throughout the organisation and with market teams for effective collaboration and to ensure communications initiatives truly meet business and employees¡¯ expectations
• Manage a roster of design, production and content vendors for effective outcomes and relationships

Work Experience:
• More than 10 years¡¯ experience in dedicated communications management roles, across both external and internal communications

Required Competencies and Attributes:
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Korean
• Outstanding content development skills, including adapting messages and writing for different audiences, occasions and platforms (Writing samples will be requested)
• Strong presentation abilities
• Strong understanding of strategies and interventions to influence behaviours and deepen emotional connections
• Deep experience managing senior stakeholders, working in a matrixed structure, and collaborating with regional/global colleagues and partners
• Familiarity with the use and advantages/advantages of various communications platform including digital channels
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong balance of EQ and IQ
• A positive, proactive, curious, eager-to-learn and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude is essential
• Organised, meticulous and able to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity
• Experience in and an understanding of the retail industry is a plus
