Job Description

As an Engineer Technician within the validation lab, you will participate in many innovative projects, and apply your expertise in a fast paced technically driven environment. We work with partially remote (hybrid) development and validation teams for debug and system configuration, so an understanding and willingness to work with engineers who may not always be on-site is vital. You'll be responsible for highly technical functional tasks in support of a variety of validation engineering activities. Collaborating with Engineering Teams on cutting edge product development, troubleshooting and data collection. Building, configuring, and testing server/client validation platforms. Installation of various PC operating system and software applications. Configuration and operation of industry standard test and measurement equipment for debug and data collection. Installation and configuration of network KVMs and power distribution units. Assembly of non-technical fixtures such as test benches and liquid cooled thermal tools. Responsible for technical functions in support of failure analysis tools, including, but not limited to preventative maintenance, monitoring tool health and performance, tool troubleshooting. Manage spare and consumables inventory. This is fully on-site position, working in a fast-paced debug environment along with a team of expert experienced engineers.

 

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience building up and maintaining servers and/or client systems.
• Set up and configuration of data center infrastructure.
• Experience in removing/installing /troubleshooting server baseboards, CPU, memory DIMM, and storage devices.
• Independently debugs cards, boards, systems.
• Configuring BIOS, BMC, upgrading firmware, driver installs.
• Network troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Experience working with Python
• Experience working with Linux
• Experience creating/modifying training and process documentation and execution planning
