TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

- Contract Type : Permanent
- Work location : Philip Morris Korea, 67, Sanmakgongdannam 12-gil, Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’

Supervise and coordinate the activities for analytical lab team within established procedures in order to continuously provide analysis and testing results in an accurate and timely manner as well as to ensure that PMI requirements and ISO standards (including ISO17025) are met.
Ensure that all activities are performed with calibrated instrument and validated methods and in compliance with the Quality System and regulations.
Lead and or support initiatives and cross-functional projects related to the Quality of products and systems in order to continuously support the innovation and the performance of the manufacturing site.
Consistently apply OPEN+ standards.
Ensure that the Batch Release process is applied as per PMI requirements.

1) SUSTAINABILITY

- Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss.
- Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Open+/IOS

2) QUALITY

LABORATORY ACCURACY

- Ensure that Quality Control activities are properly set and followed.
- Ensure application of all PMI good laboratories practices.
- Ensure that critical deviations are solved and define appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure lab measuring equipment qualification and application of validated methods
- Ensure that all necessary testing is carried out and the associated records evaluated and retained.
- Review/approve CoA, sampling instructions and other Quality Control procedures.

NON-CONFORMITIES & CAPA

- Ensure that non-conformities, out of specifications/trends are investigated in a timely manner
- Approve/reject all non-conformities raised to her/his level.
- Ensure CAPA and quality improvement opportunities are identified, prioritized and action plans determined in order to support the organization through continuous improvement. Review, approve CAPA of her/his department.

QMS SUPPORT

- Participate to the creation/review of procedures, work instructions, methods and other Quality Documents that are required. Provide support and training by ensuring a transfer of knowledge according to the training management system.

3) DELIVERY

PROJECT & INNOVATION

- Lead and/or support initiatives and cross-functional projects related to the Quality of products and systems (local and global projects). Provide guidance and mentoring to other Quality department team members/Manufacturing sites.
- Provide a follow up and reporting of projects and milestones.
- Participate in the development and/or implementation of techniques and methods related to lab measurement.

BATCH RELEASE

- Lead batch release process in order to release into the market that are in line with the product specifications and meet the PMI quality requirements. Sign and approve batch release as delegate for Quality Manager.

4) COST

MAINTENANCE

Ensure the Calibration, Qualification and Maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.

5) MORALE

LEADERSHIP

- Manage and develop a motivated and skilled team to ensure performance levels, professional development and achievement of objectives, in respect of PMI Leadership signature. Develop and drive the execution of a skill matrix and training path for each role.
- Prepare and seek management approval for department budget based on factory objectives to ensure optimal allocation of resources, adequate funding, and compliance with financial practices.
- Support OPEN+ program deployment according to phase progression and in alignment with site OPEN+ plans.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biological sciences, Physical sciences, Engineering from University or above preferred or relevant skills through demonstrated experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA/quality control (quality assurance is a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of International Standards (ISO)
- Well-developed IT skills (Office).
- Advanced knowledge on Quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English
