Technical Solutions Consultant, Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C, C++, or Python).
• Experience troubleshooting and managing partnerships or client relationships.
• Ability to communicate in Korean fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience leading complex technical projects with automotive industry partners or related industry partners.
• Experience with Android application or Android device development.
• Experience with system architecture or device bring-up of Android or other Linux-based platforms.
• Experience in functional leadership with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of internet technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful APIs, etc.).

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant for Android Auto, you will manage technical partnerships with Automotive industry clients, integrating Android Auto into connected cars. This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Korean with local stakeholders. You will provide technical expertise in creating devices with Android Auto and insight into software for in-car experiences. You will be a trusted advisor to Google’s Product and Engineering teams and Automotive industry partners, car manufacturers, supplier ecosystem, system on a chip (SoC) providers, all of whom work together to build infotainment and driver assistance systems. By building close collaborations with partner organizations, you will guide planning, implementation, and certification of Android Auto devices. You will also support and lead internal initiatives to transform team operations and improve our products and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform implementation reviews, lead product feature development, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
• Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering.
• Ensure the technical aspects of a partner’s integration by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
• Identify, drive, and optimize technical and business process flows for opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
