Job Purpose

The Governmental Affairs Lead will help with refining and implementing the Government Affairs Strategy for GSK Korea. Having a clear GA strategy, to develop policy positions, and to engage with key stakeholders in the Area.
As part of this role the GA Lead is expected to build and develop relationships with key authorities, policy makers and relevant industry associations in Korea; to advocate for better access to GSK products across different channels.

These responsibilities include some of the following:
Stakeholder Influence
The CGA business partner understands who the key influencers are and what they are thinking, how they interconnect and therefore with whom and how we should engage.
Networks are broad and deep and must be based on Trust, credibility and partnership across individuals and groups (e.g government, media, political parties, societies, representative organizations, NGOs, IGOs & trade associations). Plans should include stakeholder mapping classifications with customized advocacy and clear understanding of mutual opportunity.
In Government Affairs, the business partner understands how our Commercial, R&D and Supply Chain strategy
can and should support public policy and meet public or private health needs.
Alignment to Access Pharma Business & Regulatory
The CGA business partner is curious about the world in which we operate. They continuously track and interpret economic, political, societal and market trends and feed this into the evolving commercial strategy.).
CGA leaders have a good enough understanding of regulatory, NIP, vaccine tender system and pharma policy progress to identify opportunities for GSK, its customers, and the patients it serves.
CGA leaders proactively engage in the health policy debate with various stakeholders internally and externally.
They are considered a critical stakeholder in supporting the market access process.
