MAIN PURPOSE As
the head of a 3PL-operated Distribution Center, you will be responsible for
the day-to-day operations within the team. Your role will focus on effective
planning and supervising to meet deadlines and operational goals in
productivity, quality, and safety. A
strong emphasis will be placed on fostering collaboration, teamwork, and
developing positive, productive work relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ¨ª Provides direct supervision to a team of skilled employees, which
includes Workflow Coordinators and Associates as well as managing the
relationship with the onsite staffing agency in relation to temporary agency
employees working in the department(s) ¨ª Administers policies/guidelines that directly affect work activities
which include counseling associates consistently on performance and
behavioral concerns. ¨ª Responsible for creating and supporting the company¡¯s engagement strategies by observing and coaching employees on proper job
related activities and providing timely feedback on necessary action plans. ¨ª Identify and prioritize those tasks which need to be accomplished in
order to meet daily business goals for a quick and effective transition and
start-up. ¨ª Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates and ensuring
consistent application of organizational policies. ¨ª Motivates others and promotes collaboration and accountability to meet
team goals ¨ª Builds trust with direct and indirect business partners by explaining
rationale behind business process and approach taken to decision making. ¨ª Lead, direct and manage the performance of the team utilizing reporting
tools and observation. Provide ongoing feedback, fostering growth and
sustained improvement. This includes but is not limited to productivity,
accuracy, efficiency and adherence to Policy. ¨ª Manages and monitors Global KPI to achieve global target ¨ª Actively participate in providing a safe and healthy environment for the
team, in accordance with and beyond governmental standards, as well as
internal policies and procedures. ¨ª Provide immediate, specific and constructive feedback to employees who
violate safety requirements or demonstrate unsafe work behavior. ¨ª Actively participate in the onboarding of 3PL providers, negotiating
favorable terms and conditions. ¨ª Manage budgetary responsibilities related to distribution operations,
optimizing costs without compromising quality. ¨ª Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend
innovative solutions for distribution efficiency. ¨ª Establish and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners, ensuring
compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
REQUIREMENTS ¨ª Bachelor¡¯s degree in related field or equivalent
work experience requiring logistics management ¨ª Preference of more than 10 years of experience in the related field ¨ª Prior experience in a team leader role ¨ª Robust analytics, prioritization, problem-solving skills ¨ª Excellent team play, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact
with everyone in the organization ¨ª Open-minded, active tendency to accept different opinions from different
perspectives |
