The Job Responsibilities

Marketing specialist is responsible for driving the Dräger marketing approach in cooperation with the sales and service managers. He/She is responsible to manage the segment management, application marketing, and communication and sales marketing  team. In addition, he/she is part of the local management team.


Strategy Development


 • Actively participate in regional marketing strategy development and based on that, derive local marketing strategies in alignment with sub-regional/regional Communications & Sales Marketing.

 • Drive the strategy process together with the Sales & Service managers.

 • Responsible for developing and deploying strategy for application driven markets based on the portfolio of the key application fields.

 • Actively participate in developing and deploying the segment positioning for the key markets, including stakeholder management approach (considering global concepts) for each market segment, and drive implementation on all levels to support the business plan.


Operational Marketing


 • Actively participate in development and approval of marketing plans

 • Drive execution of marketing plans with particular focus on market segment and application aspects, manage market segment and application resources accordingly.

 • Manage interface with the sales and service organization and ensure alignment of the functions marketing and Sales & Service, especially regarding sales support resources.

 • Collect requirements and ensure alignment with Sales & Service teams and with Communications & Sales Marketing.

 • Drive exploitation of full potential within each market segment across all relevant applications.

 • Take responsibility and actively manage line and project budgets.

 • Define requirements for and participate in customer perception research activities.

 • Drive business and competitive intelligence with regards to the area of responsibility for the sub-region within the global guidelines and process for business and competitive intelligence.


Your Qualifications

 • University degree in business economics or engineering with focus on marketing methods and knowledge

 • 5 - 10 years of work experience in Marketing or Sales in a B2B company in relevant market

 • Preferably experienced in industry of Safety or Medical

 • Strong customer orientation in combination with a proven track-record in Marketing, Product Management, Sales or Business Development

 • Fluent in English skill

 • Effective communication skills

 • Strategic thinking

 • Conflict management
