This position leads the ALAM Global technical marketing team and is fully responsible for the technical marketing strategy with special focus on working closely with customers on next generation advanced materials applications. The candidate must be well-versed and well-networked within the semiconductor manufacturing industry and have the ability to anticipate market trends, formulate winning strategies and supporting actions, and deliver profitable new business wins.Responsibilities:
• Develop an ALAM technical marketing global strategy with a 5-year outlook.
• Work closely with customers and potential markets identifying opportunities >$5M in annual sales.
• Collaborate with the office of the CTO to comprehend technology inflections and deliver best technology to customers with fastest speed-to-solution.
• Complete competitive intelligence gathering via the use of SWOT analysis and Red Team/Blue Team analysis.
• Employ Voice of Customer as the guiding principle to devise commercial strategies
• Work closely with the VP of Marketing & Products to ensure alignment of product management, sales and customer roadmaps.
• Align technical roadmaps by analyzing changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors¡¯ capabilities and technical offerings.
• Participate in cross-site and cross-functional teams to manage issues with Asia localization and nationalization.
• Act as a technical interface to customers in collaboration with the office of the CTO to consolidate needs and define win-win solutions.
• Identify M&A candidates that will complement ALAM.
• Validate Engineering Projects from the perspective of the customer (timing, technical solution, cost effectiveness, capacity, etc).
• Prepare and present global senior leader presentations.
• Supervise marketing personnel and handle all responsibilities related to people management - performance reviews, pay planning, talent development, etc.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. degree in engineering, materials science or chemistry
• MBA or related work experience
• 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor materials industry
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of industry issues and trends in combination with strong understanding of product development and manufacturing.
• Ability to quickly and effectively assess, evaluate, and communicate market opportunities, competitive issues, and business performance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate across organizational and cultural boundaries.
• Experience in multicultural settings (China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, US, EU).
• Ability to effectively motivate, facilitate and direct the activities of individuals and project teams.
• Accountable behavior: follows-up his/her commitments, communicates effectively and proactively.
• Excellent organizational and resource management skills.
• Ability to travel on a frequent and extended basis, domestically and internationally, sometimes with little advance notice.

• Experience with leading a group of technical professionals
• Experience with or understanding of thin film processes (semiconductor, fpd, solar), ALD/CVD/PVD systems is strongly desired.
