Job Title: Korean <-> English Translator

Language on Demand, Inc. (LOD) is a government contracting firm located in Northern Virginia (United States) that offers a full range of language translation, interpretation, bilingual staffing, and related services.

Location: Work to be performed remotely in the South Korea

Schedule: As needed on a per-project basis

Description: LOD is seeking an experienced and professionally qualified translator to provide Korean-to-English and English-to-Korean language translation services to support VARIOUS U.S. NAVY, MARINE CORPS, ARMY AND AIR FORCE BASES AND FACILITIES THROUGHOUT NAVFAC FAR EAST AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Duties and Responsibilities:
ㆍ  Provide accurate and complete Korean-to-English and English-to-Korean written translations of technical documents, contractual documents, and legal documents.
ㆍ  Provide accurate and complete back-translations of technical, contractual, and legal documents.
ㆍ  Effectively self-manage translation assignments to meet deadlines and performance requirements.
ㆍ  Effectively capture and convey language register and cultural nuances to the target reader of translations.

Qualifications:
ㆍ  Translation expertise in technical subject areas: electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering; safety; architectural and environmental compliance; natural and cultural resources
ㆍ  Translation expertise in legal and contractual matters: utility contracts, real estate contracts, legal documents
ㆍ  Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience.
ㆍ  Possess relevant professional credentials and/or educational background (linguistics, language, translation)
ㆍ  Minimum Bachelor’s degree
ㆍ  Professional experience using Microsoft Office (primarily Word) and Adobe (PDF)

Compensation:
ㆍ  Please submit your KR-> ENG, ENG ->KR translation rate per word along with the reviewing rate by filling out the beloㆍ  table.
