Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for engineering activities related to Process Automation Business Area in Cheonan, Ulsan, South Korea. In this role, you will drive excellence, making technical recommendations to ensure that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities. Please note that this position will be dispatched to Ulsan office after DCS knowledge development training at Cheonan office for about 6-12 months. You will be mainly accountable for: • Aiding contract managers with claims related to changes in the project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts, as well as risk quantifications • Providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals, while assisting project managers in technical reviews and discussions with customers and others • Creating and delivering work plans, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimating and risk and opportunity analyses • Developing your management and communication skills by coaching entry-level engineers, technicians and support teams • Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times • Working and networking with engineering colleagues, disseminating best practices • Overseeing new subcontracts and assisting the supply chain in managing subcontractors

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and electronic, automation control or a similar field
• Over 5 years of experience in plant, working as project lead engineer with DCS
• Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, engineering(P&ID convert to DCS graphic, SAMA convert to DCS Logic & Loop), commissioning, and trouble-shooting of DCS, HMI, EWS
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
• Experience of Sub-vendor management, Documentation (Vendor print), and Customer training
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to travel to domestic frequently/international sites rarely
