The Improvement Engineer plays a crucial role within the Manufacturing Technology organization, focusing on continuous improvement in process safety and production efficiency at the plant level. This role involves applying technical and organizational skills to maximize asset value and leverage best practices across the Semiconductor Technology business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Productivity Enhancement :Collaborate with plant operations to identify and execute opportunities for productivity, cost reduction, yield optimization , and asset utilization
Knowledge Exchange : Engage with technology experts to explore and implement potential improvement opportunities
Technology Plan Development : Work with experts to develop and implement a Plant Specific Technology Plan, ensuring year-over year ROC improvements and meeting EH&S goals.
MET Implementation : Act as the local focal point for Most Effective Technology initiatives at the local level
Process Safety Management (PSM) : Apply DuPont PSM elements and champion process safety activities
Manufacturing Support : Assist in G&I and R&M projects, current product support, contract contract manufacturing qualifications, and yield & capacity improvements.
Data Analysis : Identify technology enhancements and improve asset reliability
Global Tools Utilization : Validate improvement opportunities using Six Sigma, LEAN and other global tools
Operations Team Integration : Build trust with the operations team through technical knowledge and continuous improvement skills
Engineering Improvements : Drive engineering upgrades and new technology introductions through knowledge exchange with experts
Skills :
Experience in full lifecycle of improvement/capital projects
Application of engineering principles, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Team oriented with strong communication skills in Korean and English
Familiarity with software tools is a plus
Willingness to travel
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent
Over 5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, or Project Management
Preferred : Project management/engineering experience in an EPC firm
