JOB PURPOSE
To provide a high level of medical expertise to achieve company¡¯s objectives in medical and business activities.
HIV MSL provides success in building and maintaining external experts belief on ViiV/GSK product and disease related using the scientific engagement / exchange expertise.
HIV MSL manages the effective/efficient performance and tracts metrics according to the individual objectives. The execution of HIV MSL objective and activities will be aligned with medical product strategy and objectives.
The key accountabilities of this role are as follows:
Scientific Engagement / Exchange
Build peer-to-peer scientific relationships with identified EE (External Experts) / Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations/scientific societies to address their information needs and gain insights that inform GSK medical and research strategies.
Proactively disseminate knowledge and share information as appropriate, including through internal and external presentations
Respond to requests for scientific and medical (including unsolicited request for on or off-label) information in a comprehensive, timely, and customer-focused manner.
Actively support scientific consultation to ensure knowledge transfer, foster EE relationships, ensure scientific understanding and build appropriate advocacy.
Develop and exchange extensive knowledge of the therapy area, GSK¡¯s assets, and the competitive landscape.
Facilitate local and above country consideration of proposals for collaborative and investigator initiated studies.
Assist with submission for and preparation of publications and presentations of study data at local medical & scientific meetings and publications.
EE management
Identify and develop appropriate EEs periodically in specific therapeutic areas.
Ensure development plans are initiated and actively managed for identified EEs.
Facilitate speaker development and involvement.
Lead the Scientific and Medical Insights
Gather medical voice of customer (mVOC), unmet medical needs from HCPs and generate. medical insights, securing advice that informs GSK development of medicines of value for the ultimate benefit of patients. Implement effective Medical Affairs planning in collaboration with team to input mVOC.
Contribute to smooth communication with PIs and internal stakeholders regarding RWE generation & clinical study activities by participating in the site identification and assessment process, addressing subject retention and other scientific issues in partnership with study management and monitoring.
Facilitate and present as a medical scientific expert in meeting and training. Field Based Medical (FBM) effectiveness
Drive implementation and adoption of FBM operating models, polices and behaviors to GSK Korea.
Lead and manage the record of field activities in the system.
The required skills of this role to achieve the goals are as follows : Education and qualification
Knowledge of life sciences field (medical, pharmacy, nursing, biology, clinical, specified disease/therapeutic area) preferred.
2+ years of Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry experience (medical, clinical research, and sales, etc.) or a very strong academic background.
Ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge is essential.
Working experience in HIV and/or infectious disease therapeutic area preferred
Core competencies / skills

Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with External Experts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent scientific presentation skills.
Good external scientific credibility and reputation preferred.
