Position Purpose

The Manager, Patient & Healthcare Experience & Advocacy, serves as the company¡¯s representative with patients¡¯ group stakeholders in Korea, working closely with HPEA business partner, communication, medical affairs & commercial.  It will liaise with APAC/Global related patients groups as needed.

 

This role leads the development and execution of patient engagement, patient group advocacy and related stakeholder engagement strategies, to build CSL Behring¡¯s profile and impact with patients & patient groups, increasing company recognition and reputation. This position is responsible for understanding, communicating and translating into strategy the patient mindset, drivers and barriers to support brand strategies. It will focus in priority on CSL therapeutic areas (TA¡¯s).

It will communicate and collaborate with APAC and Global patients¡¯ group section (such as potential patients¡¯ group in Asia etc.), directly or liaising with CSL regional/global teams to support APAC & Global patient¡¯s communication with Korea patients¡¯ group.  

 

It will be a key strategic partner to the brand teams and interface with commercial teams (marketing, sales, medical affairs), legal, compliance¡¦ on patient services. It will support the delivery of patient services programs across TA such as PSP, Nurse Support. Responsibility may include development and execution of CSL Behring patient services programs, including reporting, metrics, on-going communications according to respective brand needs.

 

The individual will drive alignment across programs to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy standard. It will monitor evolving best practices in patient engagement, patient services to ensure CSL performs best-in-class engagement and provides best in class service to patients.

 

The person in this role will be expected to put patients at the forefront of our vision for delivering value to address unmet medical needs.

 

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

-Develop and lead execution of patient centric strategic plan to drive patient engagement priorities that enable the success of CSL Behring¡¯s business and patient access to our therapies, in collaboration with brand teams. Provide company-wide leadership and overall insight on Korea based patient advocate- related interactions.

-Works closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs and Communication to develop and lead execution of patient/patient group engagement strategies and programs in CSL key priority therapeutic areas as well as create and co-develop a roadmap for launching and executing best-in-class patients¡¯ programs.

-Lead and coordinate company engagement related to patients¡¯ advocacy, with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders.  Represents CSL Behring and takes leading role in industry associations, in particular in PhRMA patients committee.

-Develop and implement strategic public affairs plans: Create and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies aligned with the organization`s goals and objectives. Identify key stakeholders and develop targeted messaging to enhance the organization`s reputation and promote its initiatives.

-Lead the communication of business-relevant patient engagement updates to senior company leaders.  

The individual will drive alignment across programs to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy standards and driving cost and operational efficiencies.

-Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, industry associations, and Patient advocacy groups. Engage in regular dialogue to understand their concerns, address any issues, and promote the organization`s interests.

 

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Education

A major in nursing or possession of a nursing-related certification is required.

Experience

-At least 3 years of experience in healthcare or comparable fields

-Experience designing and leading efforts to build company profile and impact with important healthcare stakeholders / patients groups in Korea. 

-Ability to build relationships with patient advocacy groups, and other stakeholders (government, academics, industry) that are influential in patient¡¯ engagement/advocacy policy formulation in Korea.

-Experience collaborating with colleagues at multiple levels of the organization to align on and execute shared goals

-Knowledge of relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements

-Business experience in rare diseases or chronic diseases categories preferred 

-Relevant commercial experience, within the pharmaceutical industry incl. experience managing delivery of patient service programs preferred
