Your role and responsibilities

ABB Smart Power Division is looking for a Global Communications Specialist to develop and implement communications programs and messages – including marketing communica-tions, web content, and direct marketing – for its Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) prod-ucts, Power Distribution Units (PDU)/Static Transfer Switches (STS) and Power Condition-ing portfolio. You will educate and inform stakeholders, including customers, employees, trade media and interest groups. In this role you will report to the Center of Excellence Lead for Communication. The role will be based in US / Asia Pacific but other locations close to the main location can be considered. Your responsibilities • Influencing, developing, communicating, and committing to the Power Protection business¡¯ vision, goals, and strategies, translating them into customer communication action plans, always in alignment with the relevant teams. • Implementing the communications plan, applying all effective media, supervising or managing production and supplier relations, contributing to content creation, developing engaging messaging and product value propositions validated by the Marketing Communications Manager/line managers within an approved budget. • Creating and maintaining the creation and publication of all global marketing material, sales support literature, brochures, white papers, web pages, interactive demos, videos, etc., for the dedicated product lines, to support sales activities and product launches. • Generating leads via advertising, sponsorship, and other promotional activities for integrated marketing communications. • Overseeing work provided by internal and/or external resources. • Writing and editing promotional materials for use through various trade media. • Maintaining a positive and network with internal and external stakeholders and communication communities to promote knowledge of current practices and innovation, driving the creation of all marketing collateral including the definition of common templates (e.g., brochures, product web pages, videos, etc.), ensuring proper English usage. • Managing global external websites (pages, structure, content, layout, etc.) and contributing to social media initiatives.
