The Impact You¡¯ll Make

As a Process Technician at Lam, are a vital part of the team in actively supporting process development, product development, and research and development (R&D). You¡¯ll set up processing equipment, conduct technical tests and experiments, process test runs, and present findings to optimize yield. Your technical expertise supports process development, contributing to Lam¡¯s commitment to innovation.

What You¡¯ll Do

  • Supports Process Engineers in preparation for equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions.
  • Operates processing equipment and advanced tools with recipes defined by engineering teams to collect experiment results, capture measurements (e.g. thin film, CD, wafter disposition performance) and chemistry properties analysis.
  • Responsible for performing wet sample preparation, and sample analysis in support of advanced engineering activities, including operation and maintenance of Wet bench, ICP-MS, VPD tool and other analytical instruments such as FT-IR, preparing reports, providing data and interacting/consulting with product development communities, performing analytical equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.  Approximately 90% of role will be servicing workflow requests from process development engineers for sample preparation and analysis on instruments within your area. Maintain overall lab capabilities in a high state of readiness by performing regular instrument maintenance and calibrations.

Who We¡¯re Looking For

  • AAS degree with 2+ years of relative experience
  • Business level of English communication skill is required
  • Hands on experience with wet chemistry lab work and ICPMS /VPD sample preparation.
  • Good analytical development and equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivation, work independently and proactively.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit, or smock.
  • Foundational communication skills, reading and writing, in English.
  • Ability to work a shift schedule.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ¡®On-site Flex¡¯ you¡¯ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ¡®Virtual Flex¡¯ you¡¯ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
