This position is responsible for driving the *QDCFTSR on SD&I segments within Volvo Group Purchasing in South Korea. He or She will drive operational efficiency and be the purchasing interface with Volvo Group stakeholders and suppliers at a country level.

Commodity Buyer reports directly to the head of SD&I South Korea and will be a member of the Purchasing network within GTP APAC and global commodity groups.

*QDCFTSR stands for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Lead supplier selection and contractual negotiation in collaboration with the stakeholders
• Ensure the deliverables and performance for responsible segments
• Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR targets
• Contribute to segment strategies development and secure that supplier selection is aligned with the Segment strategy
• Manage and support operations on a daily basis
• Drive Business Review Meeting and Operational Performance Review Meeting with the suppliers
• Follow up supplier performance according to agreed KPI’s
• Maintain proper stakeholder relationships
• Report major sourcing case to sourcing committee or sourcing board where applicable

• Bachelor degree or Above
• No preference in major
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency in working in an international environment
• Drive change and be part of transformation journey
• Excellence in spoken as well as written English
• Be passionate, curious, self-confidence, self-learning, positive attitude, owner’s mentality
• Good business acumen and commercial contracting knowledge and experience

Location: Based in Changwon, may relocate to Seoul in 2 years.
