The Impact You¡¯ll Make

As a Facilities Engineer at Lam, with your project management expertise, you¡¯ll plan and oversee facility changes for plant, tool installations, and production equipment layouts. You'll work with architects to develop design criteria, layouts, and prepare contracts. You inspect construction and installation progress to ensure adherence with established specifications and schedules. Your focus on performance specifications required to meet unique operating conditions contributes to the efficiency and compliance of Lam's state of the art facilities.

What You¡¯ll Do

  • Implement safety policies and procedures for employees and outside contractors.
  • Supervise and oversee activities by contractor to ensure tasks are performed to requirement and in compliance with contractor safety program
  • Look for the way of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Manage to conduct regular periodic safety inspections of buildings, production equipment, utilities equipment and services, and fire protection equipment
  • Provide mechanical and electrical engineering design review input and approval for facility infrastructure and process tool installation projects.
  • Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Support as-build documentation of mechanical and electrical system layouts and P&ID¡¯s (piping and instrumentation diagram)
  • Drive improvement of infrastructure system performance and up-time
  • Implement with SOP (standard operating procedure) creation and training skills.
  • Work directly with contractors and service providers to ensure delivery of operational results.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement to equipment reliability and maintenance practices.

Who We¡¯re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor¡¯s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or relevant work experience; a professional engineering license (Especially, Industrial Engineer Electricity) would be a plus
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in facility or related field in Chemical/ Semiconductor / Cleanroom factory
  • Technical: Demonstrated technical capabilities in the areas of project management, facilities management with PM and CM, construction management and commissioning.
  • Effective verbal and written skills.  Korean and English language skill are required.
  • Computer/Software: Strong knowledge of MS Project, CAD viewers, document management systems, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of SAP systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience to deal with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD
  • Six sigma knowledge with proficiency in problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Outgoing with initiative and able to work independently.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ¡®On-site Flex¡¯ you¡¯ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ¡®Virtual Flex¡¯ you¡¯ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
