ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Lead the Communications team ensuring purposeful growth in engagement and donor response.
  2. Build brand awareness of the organization through strategic web, print, video, social media, traditional media, and event promotion with the goal of increasing prayer and financial support for the work of the ministry.
  3. Establish annual or other periodic marketing plans and campaigns ensuring donor growth and retention.
  4. Lead specific promotional projects to communicate ministry programs of us regarding International Crisis Response and other outreach and ministry programs of the ministry.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization with local media.
  6. Stay in regular communication with IHQ Communications Senior Director and Assistant Director, Affiliate Relations, to ensure alignment between IHQ and Korea with respect to marketing, media, editorial and messaging standards, and creative and branding standards throughout print and web-based promotion.
  7. Ensure communications pieces are reviewed and approved by relevant IHQ staff when required by global communications guidelines.
  8. Stay in regular communication with IHQ Broadcast to ensure alignment between IHQ and Korea in regards to video-related production and content.
  9. Ensure consistent brand representation of the ministry to all constituencies; internal and external.
  10. Build and develop analytics metrics to implement, and evaluate effectiveness of, promotional tools and strategies.
  11. Develop partnerships with trusted print agencies to ensure quality and timely production and delivery of ministry print pieces.
  12. Stay informed about our programs, projects, and activities.
  13. Work with IHQ Communications to implement a global system to share stories, statistics and reporting.
  14. Responsible for expanding and deepening the brand of the organization.
  15. Develop promotional content to educate and mobilize participation, including churches, groups, foundations, and individuals.
  16. Develop and grow partnerships through appropriate media outlets and organizations.  This includes managing high-end influential personalities who support the ministry.
  17. Develop and manage budget for Korea Communications.
  18. As necessary, travel locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to support, lead and evaluate all marketing and brand strategy efforts.
  19. Follow policies and procedures of the Company as set forth in the Policy Manual.

REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a Christian with 10-15 years of experience in marketing/communications, of which about 5 years should be of managing a communications or a marketing team. The candidate needs to be a native Korean speaker with business level English skills. 
 
The Communications team is comprised of Broadcast, Graphic Designers, and Marketing (digital marketing and print marketing). The Director would oversee all these team members as well as work closely with other Directors in Donor Ministries, IT and International Projects.
