- Report to and collaborate with the Asia Pacific Tax & Trade Compliance team
- Handle customs regulatory compliance for Korea, including managing local licenses, product certification, and manufacturer registration in coordination with external service providers
- Manage and take care of international trade and customs matters on a daily basis, including product registration and certification, country of origin, markings, classification, CITES permits and relevant recordkeeping requirements, etc.
- Support trade program eligibility and customs valuation
- Communicate and ensure compliance with customs/import/export regulations for cross-border merchandise/non-merchandise shipments
- Analyze information and develop practical solutions for customs trade compliance challenges
- Stay updated on current and future customs trade legislations, informing stakeholders of potential impacts and opportunities
- Manage and ensure seamless customs regulatory compliance in North Asia through effective coordination and oversight.
- Provide expertise in international trade and customs matters to optimize operations and minimize disruptions.
- Keep abreast of changing customs trade legislations to proactively address potential impacts and capitalize on opportunities.

- Degree holder and is a Qualified or Chartered Accountant or equivalent

- Possesses at least 5 years of relevant experience in Customs and Trade Compliance, preferably acquired in prominent Big 4 accounting firms or large MNCs and customs brokerage firm

- Proficient in engaging with Korean authorities, logistics personnel, and customs officials to navigate local regulation effectively

- Demonstrates extensive expertise in customs & trade compliance

- Has practical experience in trade program eligibility, valuation, markings, classification, recordkeeping, and import/export documentation requirements influencing customs clearance & trade compliance

- Maintains a comprehensive and current understanding of customs and trade compliance regulations and advancements in Korea

- Knowledge in the retail sector would be advantageous

- Exhibits strong project management, research, analytical, and presentation capabilities

- Shows self-motivation and adapts well to dynamic, time-sensitive environments with evolving deliverables and requirements

- Demonstrates teamwork, energy, maturity, and flexibility

- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficient in written and spoken English and Korean
