Accountant Account Receivable

Responsible to oversee Accounts Receivable duties including ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
As such, an AR Accountant must be able to communicate in an efficient yet friendly manner with customers, as well as the Sales team while reporting to the Accounting Assistant Manager.
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables¡¯ data.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients¡¯ billing issues; Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
- Prepare and issue bills, and tax invoices.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, and transfers are accurately recorded. Also calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- T&E review : Review and audit personal expense reports submitted by employees to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by the company.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- 2+ years¡¯ experience in Accounting/Finance department.

- Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk, or accounts receivable accountant.

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.

- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

- Experience in retail industry is preferred.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload.

- Must have good skill in Excel
