Responsibilities:
Supervise
•Assist content/channel managers (social, media, PR, eCommerce, CEM, .com, and other ¡®brand to customer¡¯ copies) in conceptualizing and creating copywriting for creative projects of all types.
•Oversee guidance of creative execution with external vendors and agencies
Create/Trans-create
•Create persuasive messaging and tell compelling stories that generate brand loyalty in consumers.
•Write and edit fresh and engaging on-brand copy for product stories, web content, video scripts, promotional emails, newsletters, editorials, PR, and all social media materials.
•Optimize writing to support the brand¡¯s content strategy.
•Effectively take and implement the brand, concept, and copy direction from Global Artistic Direction teams and appropriate to the local market.
•Work across platforms and media, including digital, events, CRM, and e-commerce, to build experiences of varying complexity.
•Trans-create global copies for local platforms with regular tasks, which require quick turn arounds.
Manage
•Manage the quality of all types of copywriting (locally initiated creation, adaptation, translation) throughout all project stages.
•Work with Project Managers from multiple teams to ensure projects are executed on time.
Communication
•Work effectively in a bilingual environment (Korean and English).
•Confidently articulate copy and concept rationale and lead conversations with teams, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Collaborate
•Work collaboratively with other team members to produce the best work.
•Participate in content and creative brainstorms and consistently provide ideas relevant to marketing and digital landscape trends.
•Facilitate communication, collaboration, and learning across local and global teams to ensure creative and content alignment.
•Work with Marketing teams to ensure the most creative and effective work is created.
Requirements:
•Excellent writing and conceptualizing abilities for all relevant media and platforms with an understanding of best practices for each. (Social, eCommerce, Paid Media, PR and others)
•Strong local brand copy adaptation abilities and locally initiated creative idea conceptualization skills.
•Constant curiosity about the intricacies of human behavior, beauty trends, pop culture, and ways to make a difference in the world through storytelling.
•A solid understanding of marketing principles and brand/product positioning strategies.
•Solid interpersonal skills and good verbal, written, and visual communication capabilities. Good presentation skills.
•Deep understanding of local market creative, culture, sensibilities, and nuances, with solid knowledge and understanding of design, usage behaviors, and engagement methods for major commerce and social (e.g., Kakao, Naver, etc.) platforms in Korea.
•Native command of the Korean language but can equally communicate effectively in English.
•Proactive and a constantly curious, self-initiated learner who is fearless in tackling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
•Self-motivated and resourceful. Strong work ethics and take pride in the quality of their work.
•Effective organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
•Flexible and positive team player who enjoys working in collaborative scenarios across teams, disciplines, and regions. Equally effective when working independently.
•Ability to organize copywriting guidelines to implement optimized keywords for maximized SEO level across all content platforms/channels.
•5+ years of copywriting experience writing for a brand within an advertising/design agency, in-house agency, or a combination of both.
