Job Title: (Sr.) Finance Controller – Corporate

Finance team at L'Oréal plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's financial health and stability. They provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, manage risks, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Finance team contributes to the overall success and sustainability of L'Oréal.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE:


Budget for sustainable growth

¡¤       Develop budgets and financial forecasts (trends) in collaboration with the corporate functions: P&L, balance sheet, and working capital

¡¤       Provide financial insights and recommendations to ensure alignment with business objectives and clearly set up financial targets

¡¤       Seizes transformation levers in finance to increase overall efficiency and sustainable growth: processes, economic model, and new businesses 

Monitor and analyze business performance

¡¤       Consolidate financials and prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss (P&L) statements, that reflect the financial performance of total Korea market level 

¡¤       Track the consistency between budgetary targets and business flow to propose the right direction for sustainable future growth

¡¤       Identify any deviations or discrepancies on sales and expenses by 4 divisions and provide strategic recommendations to the management team to ensure financial goals are met

Optimize costs

¡¤       Anticipate on identifying potential business risks and opportunities through costs analysis to optimize resources

¡¤       Provide insights and recommendations on resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability

Maximize systems & data management

¡¤       Leverage knowledge and intuition around financial systems & tools (SAP, PowerBI, etc) and data management to provide value-added insight 

Master management standards & Internal control

¡¤       Exhibit reporting controls and ensure compliance of both internal Group management standards and external standards (GAAP/IFRS)

¡¤       Implement good internal control practices and maintain strong financial controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks

Proactive business partner

¡¤       Leverage market and financial expertise to understand, improve, challenge and provide strategic recommendation contributing to overall effectiveness of the business

¡¤       Play a key role in center of excellence for divisions

 

 

WHO YOU ARE:


¡¤       Education : University graduate (Accounting, Finance, or any relevant Business/Finance major preferred)

¡¤       Years of experience : Min. 4 years in Financial Planning / FP&A solid experience

¡¤       Specific Career Experience : 


        -Experience in the FMCG industry (Offline+Online Business model)

       -Must showcase advanced-level the MS Excel

       -SAP & PowerBI experience preferred


¡¤       Language: Fluent in both Korean and English

¡¤       Skills: good communication skills (both written and verbal) and team player
