[Position]
Manufacturing
Engineer
[SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES]
• Develop manufacturing solutions in
line with factory targets and product
reliability requirements.
• Set standard manufacturing
practices and processes and independently
determine impact to design and parameters to the final
products
• Work with leadership to design and
build assembly line
• Be responsible for the
manufacturability new product designs through
application of circuit diagram guidelines
• Lead circuit diagram review,
co-work with cross-function team to evaluate and
manage manufacturing risk
• Conduct detailed circuit reviews to
identify manufacturing pain points and
design alternatives.
• Product assembly SOP definition and
review
• Partner with other engineering
teams and quality teams to identify and
resolve manufacturing challenges by following best
practices
• Review and provide feedback on
product design for robustness and scaling.
• Provides production support
engineering with respect to technically complex
SMT procedures, testing methods and failure analysis.
• Present timely, concise reports
advising the readiness of manufacturing
equipment & processes
• Drive failure analysis and lead
implementation of corrective actions.
[EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS]
Bachelor¡¯s degree in an accredited course of study in
engineering
• 5+ years of experience in
Electrical product design and/or manufacturing
• Experience with mass production of
hardware products or related experience
• Experience in advanced analysis
techniques including DOE, failure analysis,
PFMEA etc.
• Proficient with the use of Design
for Manufacturing, SPC, DOE and Six Sigma
techniques
• Experience in production line
development techniques including flow chart,
cycle time calculation, UPH setup, line layout &
balance, SOP, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with an
emphasis on data-driven decision making
• Experience collaborating with
internal multi-discipline teams for mechanical,
electrical and firmware development, and external
suppliers
• Experience understanding and
challenging tolerance stack-ups to meet
gap/step requirements.
• Knowledge of quality control and
part print references is also required.
• The ability to manage projects and
work in a team project environment is
required.
• Working knowledge of quality
improvement, lean manufacturing methods,
statistical process controls, and process capability
• A demonstrated history of
accountability and performance delivery, leading
teams to meet or exceed objectives
• Fluent in English
