- Korea Distribution Manager
2. Position Summary
Supports the development of a robust and aggressive
national distribution strategy for Korea
Develops the operating system, policies, strategies and
procedures for distribution management.
Implements the distribution strategies to support the
Sales & Marketing Teams and all channel partners (distributors, OOOstores,
dealers etc).
Works closely with the Sales & Marketing team to
ensure effective market penetration in each region and territory.
3. Essential Functions:
- Establish the distribution network concept of OOO Korea, to build up/ enhance distribution network in Korea systematically,
including distributor selection, evaluation, negotiating with distributors for
contract.
- Work effectively with sales and distribution team,
marketing, and pricing manager to grow sales on a consistent basis.
- Establish the OOO Korea distribution development
plan,and explore, exploit, develop and motivate qualified distributors through
effective communication and market activities.
- Develop OOO Distribution policy together with sales
manager. Plan, forecast, manage and evaluate distribution performance and
improve communication and cooperation between different stakeholders and ensure
an effective network.
- Drives the development of the retail strategy for OOOstore.
- Provides the focused strategy, implementation for OOOstore
expansion as part of overall distribution strategy.
- Provide the long term and short term planning
capability for Korea distribution in accordance with market development and
overall business situation.
- Provides the training management and coordination
capability for continuous training of distributors.
- Plans and drives channel marketing programs to promote
sales developments at distributors. This
is also coordinated strongly with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams as well
Marketing Services Team.
- Develops and maintains OOO communication methods and
intensity with channel partners.
- Executes OOO brand strategy in coordination with
Branding strategy at the Korea level.
Provides the brand protection capability if needed.
- Provide the long term and short term planning
capability for Korea distribution in accordance with market development and
overall business situation. Develop and implement profitable distribution
growth plans which meet the company¡¯s current published growth expectations.
Develop and implement plans to increase sales of all OOO products to
distributors.
4. Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (BS) - preferably in Business,
Mechanical Engineering or related field
- No less than 8 years of experience selling to distributors, with at least 5 years
distribution management experience.
- Demonstrate a successful track record of growing sales
at Industrial and/or fluid power distribution.
- Experienced in successful relationship building with
key distributors and customer contacts ranging from executive level personnel
to product managers.
- Solid knowledge of distribution trends, product
applications and catalog marketing.
- An understanding of fluid power and electromechanical
technologies is strongly desired in this position.
- Demonstrated business knowledge and strong concept of
business process controls.
- Hands-on person with strategic-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation
skills.
- Detail-oriented and business driven.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
