Job Summary

As the Consumer & Shopper Insights and Analytics Manager, your role is responsible for leading consumer research and business data analyses to derive actionable insights for the Philips Personal Health business to impact with care in the market, and win with consumers through superior propositions and presence in market.
Working with both external and internal partners including colleagues within the JAPAC Insights team, you will manage research and analytics projects for your respective districts to deeply understand our consumers and their experience journey, uncovering any unmet needs along the way that we could address with our brand and products.
The insights you generate will contribute to the choices made in the strategic planning process and execution in the business i.e. sales and business management, product portfolio, pricing, distribution channels, end-to-end marketing funnel including brand communications, media investments, campaign planning and performance tracking.
Requirements
- Based in South Korea, and fluent in Korean at native competency; but expected to lead consumer insights for both Korea and ANZ markets, with selected cross-functional responsibilities across JAPAC
- At least Bachelors Degree in business or marketing-related field of study, or demonstrated professional experience
- At least 5-7 years' experience in market and consumer insights with an agency and/or client organization, ideally from consumer goods industries
- Strong functional capabilities and experience:
- Consumer and market intelligence:
- Well-versed in multiple research methodologies - qualitative, quantitative, cultural/ ethnography, semiotics, social listening etc. to recommend the most appropriate solutions to better answer business needs and challenges
- Experience collaborating and managing partnerships with internal and external data/ research providers
- Possesses professional understanding of statistical methods and quantitative analysis for effective management of research projects
- Keen interest in identifying growth opportunities and consumer/ market trends
- Business intelligence:
- Market shares reporting and forecasting (e.g. Nielsen, GfK)
- Brand equity and marketing funnel
- Competitor analysis
- Campaign performance analytics
- Working knowledge of marketing strategies and executions (omnichannel)
- Experience with e-comm platform sales and/or online media analytics would be a bonus
- Strong business partnering skills, with key stakeholder interfaces as follows:
- Reporting into JAPAC Consumer & Shopper Insights and Analytics Lead
- Working in cooperation with other CSIA Managers in the team, with different geographical coverage and functional ownership
- Internal stakeholders
- Marketing and sales teams
- Digital and Media teams
- Global Consumer Insights and Commercial Analytics teams
- External partners
- Research agency and media agency partners
- E-comm platform partners
- Required technical skills & competencies:
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of data and descriptive information across multiple sources
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills to bring to life insights beyond data points and facts
- Strong project management skills to lead and own research and analytics projects
- Stakeholder management and experience working cross-functionally and geographically, ideally with some experience across JAPAC markets beyond Korea
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is expected to be a given
- Working knowledge of a statistical program (e.g. SPSS or R) and/or programming language would be a bonus
