Implement and Manage SAPA(Áß´ëÀçÇØó¹ú¹ý) - KOSHA(Çѱ¹»ê¾÷¾ÈÀü°ø´Ü) Requirements
- Oversee compliance monitoring in Korea.
- Support site EHS in developing and maintaining a safety and health management system.
- Assist safety personnel by providing necessary authority and resources.
- Ensure EHS guidelines are aligned with local regulations and corporate standards.
- Maintain quality in incident reporting and investigations to meet regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with site EHS to create safety and health improvement plans based on audits and feedback.
- Work with management and RMP to enhance accident prevention measures.
- Verify compliance of supervisors and executives with SAPA duties.
- Manage safety supervisors and health management officers in Korea with field support.
Support EHS Operations
- Initiate necessary actions for EHS operations in Korea.
- Advise site safety teams in collaboration with the regional EHS head.
- Assess risks specific to the company¡¯s operations and implement corrective measures.
- Manage accident statistics and develop strategies to prevent further incidents, including audits of subcontractors.
- Oversee local EHS Dashboard and prepare monthly safety review data for the Regional Compliance Committee (RCC).
Regulatory Review and Advisory
- Analyze the impact of regulatory changes in Korea with the EHS Center of Excellence (COE).
- Review regulatory requirements and permits for local projects, acting as a local Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Collaborate closely with GWI and site safety engineers.
Emergency Response Team (ERT) Operations
- Coordinate ERT activities with the regional EHS head.
- Assist in emergency response and work with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to manage emergencies.
- Manage the annual fire drill for the APPLIED site with site safety.
- Facilitate the Fire Drill review meeting, maintain attendance records and minutes of the meeting with Site Security and prepare a report with Site Security.
- Review evacuation related procedures for APPLIED Korea sites.
- Conduct Emergency Response Team (ERT) refresher training including updating the ERT roster with Site Security.
- Coordinate with the building landlord on all fire drill matters (including permits).
- Facilitate the review and update of the EPT procedure on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain trainer certification and ensure that all building ERT members remain properly trained and certified. - First Aid and CPR
- Responsible for promoting safety during emergency response events and working within the scope of ERT certification training received through (or approved by) Applied Materials Global ERT.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries related to the ERT.
Education:
- BS or MS in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or other related technical fields
- With over 5 - 13 years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety Management, Assurance/Auditing with preference in the semiconductor industry or similar environments, such as MFG industries. - Experience working in a diverse and fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Practical understanding and knowledge of SAPA-KOSHA requirements and experience supporting the development of SAPA plans and liaison with field support safety engineer.
- Experience of a dedicated SAPA organization or experience of organizing and running an organization is preferred.
- Has experience of operating and managing ERT and has experience of operating and managing a site or (multi-site) ERT program.
- Candidates should hold a recognized Health, Safety and/or Environmental management Professional certification - Must have one of the following certificates or above: Industrial Safety Engineer License or Industrial Health Engineer License.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work to commitments.
- Excellent in communications in both English & Korean language (Written and spoken)
- Communicate concepts in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner.
