Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Senior Manager role is responsible for setting overall strategies for serious accident prevention, overseeing the implementation of safety management systems, and collaborating with senior management to ensure compliance with the related laws. (Serious Accident Punishment Act/ Occupational Health & Safety Act) This role leads the safety management team and is responsible for establishing the company¡¯s safety culture and framework for accident prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Implement Safety and Health Management Systems
- Design and implement an organization-wide safety and health management system for accident prevention.
- Work with senior management to plan necessary yearly budget, define organizational structure, and assign personnel for safety management.
- Ensure effective execution of the safety system across all departments and functions.
- Develop and Implement Accident Prevention Strategies
- Establish strategic plans for serious accident prevention and identify concrete actions for implementation.
- Develop and drive BCP (Business contingency plan) with leadership team
- Monitor and assess safety activities across departments, proposing improvements as necessary to enhance prevention efforts.
- Compliance with Legal Regulations and Government Orders
- Stay up-to-date with the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA) and other relevant laws and ensure they are reflected in company policies.
- Respond swiftly to any improvement or corrective orders issued by government authorities and ensure compliance.
- Conduct H&S committee with employee representative groups and continue to communicate H&S topics with union
- Collaboration with H&S persons of each biz areas (Office /Retail/ DC) and Senior Management and Reporting
- Guide updated guidelines/laws to designated H&S persons of each areas
- Prepare and present safety management reports to senior management, advising on necessary safety policies and improvements.
- Participate in strategic decision-making regarding the company¡¯s safety direction and ensure alignment with legal and organizational goals.
- Build a Safety Culture and Develop Training Programs
- Establish a strong safety culture across the company and ensure that safety values are communicated effectively to all employees.
- Plan, guide and evaluate training programs to prevent serious accidents and ensure all employees are adequately educated on safety practices.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Safety Management, Public Health, or related fields
- At least 7 years of experience in serious accident prevention and safety management (preferably in retail, manufacturing, or related industries)
- Safety management certifications (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineer, Hazardous Materials Management Certification) preferred
- English fluent (written and oral)
