Manager, Heath & Safety
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Manager role focuses on the day-to-day implementation of safety measures, executing accident prevention activities, and ensuring compliance with safety management protocols. This role involves working directly on the ground to ensure a safe working environment and support the company¡¯s overall accident prevention goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement Safety and Health Management Systems
Directly execute the safety and health management system at the operational level across all departments.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify risks, and take immediate action to address safety hazards.
Accident Prevention and Risk Management
Conduct routine safety checks and monitor workplace conditions to prevent accidents.
Respond immediately to any incidents or hazards, conducting root cause analysis and supporting corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Support the Senior Manager, H&S in driving the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) with the leadership team.
3. Training and Education
Organize and lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees to ensure they are informed about safety protocols.
Continuously assess the effectiveness of safety training and suggest improvements.
Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations
Ensure compliance with the SAPA(Serious Accident Punishment Act) and other relevant safety laws by maintaining proper documentation and adhering to safety procedures.
Take immediate corrective action when safety violations or incidents occur and report them to the appropriate managerial staff.
Support and execute H&S initiatives by coordinating with the union.
5. Support Accident Prevention Initiatives
Assist in the implementation of preventive measures and support the monitoring of these activities.
Facilitate communication between staff and management to ensure safety concerns are addressed promptly.

Experience in developing and managing safety systems across an organization
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (Safety Management, Public Health, or related fields
At least 5 years of experience in serious accident prevention and safety management (preferably in retail, manufacturing, or related industries)
Safety management certifications (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineer, Hazardous Materials Management Certification) preferred
English fluent (written and oral)
