This position has responsibility for leading Samsung Electronics technology interaction and new products introduction, as well as defining the Air Liquide roadmap to successfully achieve Samsung Electronics requirements and develop long-term partnership. The successful candidate will work closely with the customer on next generation advanced materials applications and the adoption of ALAM¡¯s emerging products, and the engagement scope will cover from customer and ALAM¡¯s early R&D roadmap to strategic procurement. The promotion campaign will be executed by leveraging technical and market intelligence along with customer¡¯s technology transfer and product release plan. The candidate must be well-versed and well-networked within Samsung Electronics and the semiconductor manufacturing industry and have the ability to anticipate market trends, formulate winning strategies and supporting actions, and deliver profitable new business wins. The candidate should be familiar with ALD/CVD equipment and/or ALD/CVD precursor chemistry.Develop an ¡®ALAM technology Integration and new products introduction roadmap¡¯ at Samsung Electronics with a 5-year outlook.
Work closely with Air Liquide and Samsung teams to map out potential markets and to identify opportunities >$20M in annual sales.
Collect and document problem statements from customers that can be converted into value-added solutions by ALAM Product and R&D teams. Validate those problem statements with the Sr. Technology Integration Director.
Identifies key differentiation drivers and key improvement opportunities that will enable ALAM to capture and retain key opportunities.
Collaborate with the office of the ALAM CTO and Air Liquide Corporate R&D to comprehend technology inflections in the customers¡¯ market and align them with the new product introduction roadmap. Actively contributes to delivering best technology with fastest speed-to-solution.
Complete regular competitive intelligence analysis from a technology standpoint via the use of SWOT analysis and Red Team/Blue Team analysis.
Work closely with the Sr. Director of Technology Integration to ensure alignment of product management, sales and customer roadmaps. In particular, contributes to the New Molecules development prioritization within ALAM CTO and Engineering teams.
Act as a technical interface to Samsung Electronics in collaboration with the office of the CTO to consolidate needs and define win-win solutions.
Coordinates new products introduction strategy, taskforces and multi-dimensions cross-functional groups to address key painpoints identified in the course of new molecules introduction.
Initiate and engage in engineering projects for Samsung Electronics in the perspective of technical solution, timing, cost effectiveness, capacity, etc. in coordination with AL group R&D and ALAM product management teams accordingly.
Validate Engineering Projects from the customer perspective (timing, technical solution, cost effectiveness, capacity, etc).
B.S. or higher degree in engineering, materials science or chemistry
15+ years of material or process development experience
10+ years of material or process development engagement with similar customers
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Solid understanding of industry issues and trends in combination with strong understanding of material science, product development and manufacturing.
