Maintenance Manager is responsible and accountable for safe, compliant execution of the maintenance strategy for the production plant; providing the direction, resources, and motivation to achieve or exceed the goals. The Maintenance Manager will directly oversee all internal maintenance and facilities activities - be it performed by internal and/ or, third parties maintenance teams. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible and accountable for the reliability of the production plant; working in close collaboration with the Global Reliability and Maintenance groups. The Maintenance Manager must lead in a way that demonstrates the importance of ¡°Doing it Safe, Doing it Right, the First Time¡±. He/she must lead her team to implement change in a feedback rich environment which generates mutual respect and committed team members. Results must be achieved in a sustainable fashion. The Maintenance Manager is expected to be able to thrive in a fast paced and very dynamic environment.Develops and executes the maintenance strategy, maintenance and reliability work plans, local capital projects and strategic plans for system overhauls and upgrades.
Collaborates effectively across functional groups.
Partners with Reliability organization to determine supporting software utilization and methods for effectiveness.
Exhibits strong leadership skills to motivate and develop a team consisting of Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Planner, and outside contractors.
Ensures production equipment, facilities, utilities, and grounds are operating reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with all safety guidelines and government regulations.
Oversees the development, revision, review and approval of all maintenance work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Develops, sets, tracks, and reports on maintenance KPIs and Metrics and analyzes performance as means to drive operational improvement.
Performs root cause analysis.
Utilizes new technology, specialized equipment and/or tools and Lean Manufacturing principles and processes to improve maintenance performance.
Supports HSES procedures, directives, and Management of Change process.
Manages maintenance spending.
Develops strategy for stores/critical spares inventory.
Executes administrative activities (Payroll, Purchasing, HR).
Bachelor¡¯s Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 7 years of applicable Maintenance work experience in chemical heavy, or high speed manufacturing.
Experience leading a team with a history of building trust and successfully coaching and developing direct reports.
Expert level knowledge and experience in maintenance management and engineering.
Proven ability to establish and manage relationships at all levels of the organization, including the most senior levels.
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Experience with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, eMaint, etc.).
Experience implementing predictive/condition monitoring maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability.
Experience leading root cause analysis
Experience using Microsoft Office, MS Project, AutoCad and Google Workspace.
Proven experience preparing and leading capital projects.
Excellent problem solver with a proven ability to generate innovative solutions to complex issues.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
TPM/RCM experience preferred. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent local certificate holder is a plus.
Sigma Green or Black Belt certification or equivalent knowledge
5S and Lean Manufacturing experience
