Reporting to the SPO (Strategic Program Office) Ops Manager, This role will support and execute SPO strategic project / program managements and facilitate cadence, alignment with FSO leaders and administrators to enable the organization to successfully deliver its strategies.
The role will help to develop, design supportive material for effective communication across the FSO teams as well as other local and HQ stake holders to help drive organizational priorities and deliver the DOW. At a time of growth and transformation of the business at Applied Materials, this is a critical key role for FSO productivity and efficiency.
This position will be located in Bundang HQ office.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with FSO team to provide guidance and co-develop regular operational reports that meet and exceed company expectations.
- Ensures operational objectives are implemented and well executed by FSO, resulting in successful SPO KPI and productivity projects/programs objectives.
- Responsible for Headcount management under FSO team, including customer engineers, field managers, and site operation administrators, ensuring right HC allocation that will help achieve productivity and financial goals.
- Deliver operational insights, leadership, and drive solutions to problems that may be overlooked which includes operational KPI that can improve gross margin, engineer utilization and productivity.
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams within region and HQ to provide decision making, change management actions.
- Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
- Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
- Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented, and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality, and safety.
- Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
- Spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate, and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed.
Qualification & Requirement
- Ability to act as a key influencer, change agent, and proactively seek continuous process improvement.
- Field operational knowledge, understanding of service business, and key financial fundamentals preferred.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), disciplined, and responsive.
- Team player, trust building among team members.
- Strong project management skills to succeed various projects is a plus.
- Uses analytics and data to drive right business practices.
- Solution driven approach to ambiguous and complex projects and programs.
- Field service engineer experience at Applied is a plus.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience
