LINA Life, one of Chubb entities in Korea is searching for an experienced cloud engineer to join in this exciting journey.
The cloud engineer of LINA Life will be responsible for designing cloud platform automation and container platforms.
The candidate is required to have work experience in container platforms (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (Azure) and experience in the best practices of application architecture around the cloud and IaC.

[R&R]

○ Is responsible for the operations of the cloud infrastructure in Korea closely collaborating with the global teams

○ Wields leadership to establish and execute corporate cloud strategies, and reports the roadmap and progress of the transformation into the cloud architecture to the stakeholders and senior management

○ Engages in the cloud transformation initiatives of Chubb and across LINA and provides guidelines on architecture to the application teams

○ Designs and implements cloud patterns that take into consideration the best practices, e.g., in resiliency and performance, in collaboration with the global cloud engineering team

○ Verifies whether the application teams design the applications in compliance with the cloud adoption framework and the latest cloud standardsLINA Life Insurance Company of Korea LINA Korea

○ Prepares design specifications for novel cloud services based on the requirements of the application teams and establish self-services in collaboration with the engineering team

○ Builds operational capabilities around the cloud platform for the operations team and provides guidance on novel services and functionalities launched in the engineering field

○ Documents and designs controls and governance policies for Azure platform and automates distribution of security policies by collaborating with the security team

○ Holds regular training sessions on the services and automation functionalities of the collaboration management application for end users as well as Chubb’s best practices for the users

○ Engages in the escalation process of the supporting team and supports any major production issues with the engineering point of view

○ Evaluates maturity of current applications in regard to cloud native architecture and provides guidance for cloud native migration patterns

○ Optimizes and implements the adequate cost model for the applications by driving cost management and optimization initiatives with the application teams

[Qualifications]

○ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or relevant majors

○ Experience of 15 years or more in IT automation, including 4 years for supporting Azure-based cloud services and 2 years for Kubernetes and Docker

○ Experience in a large-scale project on transition to the cloud (Azure preferred)

○ Broad experience in the cloud platform, mainly focusing on Azure/GCP. Experience in IAM, security, monitoring and network designing of the cloud infrastructure

○ Experience in building infrastructure with code and pipelines and automating testing by using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Jenkins, etc.

○ Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments with container platforms like Kubernetes, AKS and EKS

○ Experience in using monitoring and logging tools such as ELK and Prometheus as well as change management tools such as ServiceNow

○ Azure-related certificates

○ Fluent in English
