This position is part of the SET (Supplier Engineering and Technology). SET is an organization that is innovative in manufacturing technology, materials and supply chain design. In this position, you, as a supplier engineer will play a vital role for Handler assembly suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work across organization functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing at supply chain. Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, to adapt to changing priorities and to work independently in a close-knit team setting. This position performs the role of Supplier Engineer in supporting suppliers who build Handlers. Handlers are ATM and VTM system supplied by Lam for customers. This position performs supplier management for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery for Lam. The role offers Technical, Engineering, Mfg and Test support at suppliers. This role also does program/project management and cross functional team alignment functions for key initiatives in the SET Group. SET is a global organization that innovates in manufacturing technology, materials technology, and supply chain quality for next generation semiconductor process equipment. This position performs the lead role for Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical system assembly/troubleshooting and provides Engineering/Technical solutions to suppliers who are making Lam Products.
• English preferred • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Electro-Mechanical system design and manufacturing • Functional understanding of Hardware Instrumentation & Controls. • Handler systems (ATM + VTM) engineering and integration and semiconductor fab knowledge • Solid understanding of various problem-solving methodologies to include 8D/5 why • Project Management / Team Lead experience • Minimum 8 years¡¯ experience in managing technical programs and projects, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry • Experience with working with global suppliers • Experience with working with contract manufacturers or remote factories who build the semiconductor equipment assembly • Ability to align cross-functional teams across multiple departments to achieve goals • Ability to track and organize multiple concurrent activities • Experience/Knowledge for sheet metal, Machining, welding and powder painting
