1. General Ledger Management
  A. Oversee and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger according to Edwards accounting policies and procedures and ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  B. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  C. Ensure appropriate accounting and reporting treatment. 
  D. Assist in developing and implementing new accounting and reporting pronouncements and determine the resulting impact

2. Income Tax and Indirect Tax Compliance and planning
  A. Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
  B. Identify opportunities for tax optimization and implement strategies to reduce tax liabilities.
  C. Ensure accuracy and timely submission of VAT returns and filings. 
  D. Liaise with external tax consultants and authorities as needed.
3. Transfer pricing management
  A. Prepare transfer pricing documentation and support audits or reviews by tax authorities.
  B. Monitor and update transfer price in line with standards.
4. Financial Reporting
 A. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  B. Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management.

-  Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)

Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems
- Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
