DuPont is seeking a skilled Lab Technician (1 year of fixed term) to support our R&D activities in Dongtan, Korea.
Responsibilities
Conform to the guidelines for laboratory equipment, supplies, training procedures and records according to Quality System standards and Lab Safety requirements.
Follow the guidance to develop testing plans and conduct lab tests to support product and application development, including silicone sample preparation, sample testing, result record and summary.
Prepare the experiment and test reports
Work with Engineers to set up new lab test methods according to business needs.
Complete new equipment set-up and Pre-Startup Safety Review.
Submit samples to internal and external resources for tests and collect test reports based on business needs.
Good documentation of lab work to ensure the easy tracking of sample information, test conditions, and test results.
Efficient lab work management with high quality test data.
Responsible for the safe operation of chemical and laboratory equipment, disposal of lab waste, equipment maintenance, raw material inventory management, and 5S management of assigned lab areas.
Qualifications
3+ years lab testing experience in R&D
Good discipline in writing experimental summary and reports.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in Korean.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused global environment.
Preferred but not a must
B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related majors is preferred.
Capable of reading instrument manual and technical literature in English
Experience with mechanical and rheology equipment
Experience handling chemicals, ingredients, or materials
