Key tasks of the Job:
- Monitoring customer needs and menu trends & conducting market research
- Deriving insights and developing action plans to define and support product development direction
- Developing menu ideas, concepts, and recipes based on the characteristics of food and ingredients
- Managing the overall NPD(New Product Development) process and timeline
- Managing the target costs
- Collaborating with suppliers on product development and improvement
- Developing menu execution methods aligned with restaurant operation procedures
Specifics the Job:
(a) Required knowledge, education, and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the food industry (R&D, Restaurant menu development, etc.)or equivalent experience and knowledge
- Deep understanding of eating-out /QSR market trends and the ability to translate consumer insights into menu concepts
- Expertise in menu development by optimizing flavor balance and product characteristics based on an understanding of each ingredient's properties
- Understanding of menu development process, including cost and timeline management
(b) Skills:
- Effective communication skills to manage suppliers and collaborate with relevant departments for optimal results
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy in handling data, and agility in adapting to changes
(c) English: Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency (with business communication skills)
